 The Puccio Law Experience

At Puccio Law, you will receive the benefits of working with a lawyer with many decades of legal and practical experience. Fort Myers Attorney James Puccio has practiced law for more than 30 years. Over this time, he has taken on all types of real estate, business, disability and employment cases for clients across Southwest Florida.

Mr. Puccio represents clients who are involved in business, real estate, criminal, commercial disputes and lawsuits.  Whether it is a breach of contract case, trademark infringement, deceptive trade practices, or enforcing a non-compete clause between rivals, the challenge is the same and the intent is always to put on the best case he can using his skills to represent the client.

Jim, as he is called by his friends, began the practice of law in Chicago, Illinois, and after practicing with many most respected lawyers, he finally decided to flee the freezing temperatures of the harsh midwestern winters and seek the Sunshine State, Florida, to relocate his law practice in 1987.  Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Estero, Naples, Punta Gorda, Lehigh Acres and southwest Florida have been his base of operations and is where he continues to represent clients from every walk of life.

In addition to his legal experience, Jim has meaningful experience at all levels of the real estate industry. Mr. Puccio has worked as a mortgage broker, a real estate broker and an acquisition manager for a national homebuilder. To this day, Mr. Puccio remains a licensed mortgage broker and real estate broker.

Jim has also been afforded the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives. He was appointed by Gov. Lawton Chiles as a commissioner and chairman of the Lee County Housing Authority from 1991 through 1997. In this position, Jim worked with state, federal and local government agencies to provide homes, communities and shelter to individuals and families in need. Mr. Puccio's experience in the law, in the real estate industry and in government makes the firm an exceptional choice to address your legal needs.

In these various positions, Jim has encountered many situations, from negotiating purchases and divestitures of large tracts of residential and commercial property to orchestrating commercial leases to defending against mortgage foreclosures for victims of predatory lenders. With this wide-ranging experience, Jim is able to provide meaningful insight and perspective into any real estate transaction or dispute.

The firm also has a broad-based employment law practice, representing employers and employees in wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, retaliatory discharge, dog bite cases, and Americans with Disabilities Act claims.
